Meeting Elhousine Elazzaoui has been one of our great milestones this year, a lesson in humility, perseverance, and simplicity. He has been a professional trail runner since 2018, when he turned one of his great passions into his daily life. Since then, his name has resounded on the podium of major international races, and now, he is part of the NNormal team.

Elhousine started running as a child, while playing with other children in the desert of Southern Morocco, a place he describes with special affection for its climate and its people. He grew up in an environment with limited professional opportunities, although he was able to work for his brother’s travel agency for a few years.

In fact, he is certified as an official tourist guide in Morocco, and during the winters, he still returns to his native country to help his brother or whoever needs him: “I enjoy sharing moments with nomadic children, as I was during my childhood, and I like to be available for those who need me when I am there.”
